Venus is named after the roman goddess of love and beauty.Venus is classified as a terrestrial planet.

Venus is the second planet from the sun,between Earth and Mecury and closest to the Earth.It is in our solar system the milky way.

Venus is a terrestrial planet so its made of a central Iron core and a rocky mantel,simmilar to earth.


Venus orbites closer to the sun than earth so it only takes 222.7 days to orbite the sun compare this to the earth whitch takes 365.25 days to orbite the sun.This means a year on veanus is 62% of an earth year.


Veanus is some times called the evening star!!!

Here are my reflections on my term 2 learning goals.

Why did the popcorn dance?

Do you know how to make popcorn dance. well I do would you like to know more ?

Firstly you need to get some ingredients. This is what you need :

Some baking soda, vinegar, popcorn kernels, food colouring and water.

Firstly you fill the glass 3/4 fill. Secondly you put 2 drops food colouring in the glass. Next you get your hand fill of popcorn seeds. After that you put all the seeds in the glass. Then put 2 drops of vinegar in it. Lastly put 1 tablespoon of baking soda in it.

The bubbles cling to the seeds and when they get to the top they pop this happens until all the baking soda dissolves into the vinegar.

Watching popcorn dance is an amazing thing. I hope now you can make popcorn dance to.

What we did was put paper Masha over a small  balloon  and then painted it!.I think we did well making the brownish paint.I need to improve on my teamwork.

EGYPTIANS

Egyptians live by the river Nile,

Gods so many they worship,

You don't know much about them,

People in Egypt trade things instead of buying them,

They use camels to get around,

In a flood they let the ground soak in water,

Ancient Egyptians worshiped the Pharaoh,

Not many clothes that they wore,

First night at camp

FIRST NIGHT AT CAMP.

On the first night at camp it was tiring! Someone sent us a note that said= TO S.M I LOVE YOU FROM BUNKROOM A!

First we thought Sophie.c had written it but then we asked Te Rawhiti and he looked like he had guilty written all over his face!

Next we were almost asleep when Jayden came in with his sleeping bag and mattress and wanted to sleep in our room!

After that Te Rawhiti came in with his sleeping and slept on the ground next to me leaning on the wall!

I enjoyed finally getting to sleep!Next time I will improve on getting Matua Nathen!

KITTENS

Kittens are sooo cute

I like kittens because, 

They are soft, warm and cuddly

They like to eat meat and cat biscuits

Even when they are sick,  

Naughty kittens sometimes

Scratch......... ...........but I still love them.

GOALS

BY THE END OF TERM 2

1. I want to get better at my division 3 & 4's.
2. I want to get better at putting P & p's in the right places.
3. I want to keep my desk tidy.
4. I need to be able to do bar chords at church.
